The NY Times reports the death of Polaroid as we know and love it “Instant” photography has definitely taken on new meaning since digital came along. With digital frames now available, people rarely even print out their photos. Sadly, Polaroid will no longer exist in its original form, but will become the name of HD televisions and DVD players. Polaroid has stopped making its beloved instant film and expects supplies to run out by 2009. I predict it will happen much sooner. It’s a shame the company could not revamp their classic for the digital age.
